Intro: In this essay, I will be answering the question ‘how do digital technologies affect design communication?’ I will be looking at two different references, this being NVIDIA together with VR or Privacy and discussing how they have had their impact on design communication.
First Reference (NVIDIA):
- Nvidia Corporation is a technology company based in American specialising in graphics processing within the consumer and professional market.
- Nvidia graphics processes have been an instrumental part when it comes to the digital artwork. Their chips are used for rendering etc.
- Nvidia has recently been pushing for the creative market with NVIDIA Studio
‘NVIDIA Studio is our new software and hardware platform utilizing technology to make creative work easier and more efficient, helping creatives realize their unique visions.’

- Some implications this could mean for the future is more accessibility to create things that use software that is dependant on things that NVIDIA make. For example, CINEMA4D can use the GPU to render projects. But with more capable GPU’s in laptops, you could work on something from anywhere, instead of a desktop.
Second Reference Option 1 (VR/AR):
- AR or Augmented Reality is where computer-generated graphics or information interact with the real world.
- VR or Virtual Reality is a simulated experience that can be used for entertainment or educational purposes.
- Some future applications can include the way we interact with each other. VR Chat for instance.
